Vilnius, Lithuania

In Lithuania, 50 years of communism and the Iron Curtain greatly debilitated the  physical and spiritual strength of its people. This Eastern European mission in Vilnius was one of our most difficult challenges, due to deeply-rooted and persistent economic depression and years of unfulfilled political promises that left many demoralized.  It is a miracle of survival that any faith endured at all, and our young and vital missionaries embraced the challenge with great hope and love.
